The inner neck provides an engagement area for the lid, so its dimensions and surface finish need approval with the lid and base. Trial the complete set for friction and alignment. Do not specify the neck from the product cavity dimensions alone.

It can be considered if sufficient clearance remains inside the lid and the item stays supported. Provide the full product and insert height, then close a loaded sample. Check the tallest accessory and any tissue buildup before approving how much product is revealed.

Set the insert height and neck opening around the area you want the customer to see first. Trial the product in a sample with the lid removed, checking finger access. A prominent shoulder can hide lower product details if the cavity sits too deeply.

Trial the selected papers through the intended opening sequence and inspect both mating surfaces for scuffing or binding. Review fit and wrap buildup before changing decoration. Approve the assembled finish, since a visually appealing loose paper sample cannot reveal sliding contact marks.
