Ask for a drawing distinguishing external size, seal margins and usable cavity. Trial the actual item or fill, including any zipper. A nominal width that suits the artwork can leave insufficient internal clearance or put the contents against the sealing area.

Those are separate process requirements that need a compatible structure and validation. Provide equipment details, product temperature and the complete process sequence. Do not infer suitability from the lay-flat shape; evaluate film, seals and product compatibility under the intended conditions.
