What should we confirm before approving a folded card?

Confirm the closed dimensions, opening direction and panel reading order on a folded paper dummy. Check which message appears first and whether the card sits neatly in its intended pocket. A flat artwork proof cannot show these handling details.

Why can dark artwork crack along the fold?

A printed fold needs a crease matched to the selected board and finish. Request a folded production-style sample, especially where a dark background crosses the spine, and inspect the fold after opening rather than judging only the flat printed sheet.

Can a QR code run across the card's fold?

Keep the code on one flat panel, with its clear margin outside the fold and trim areas. A code that looks correct on screen may distort when the card bends; scan the finished folded and opened sample before approving placement.

How much room should the folded card have inside an insert?

Measure the closed card with its actual stock thickness, then allow space to slide it into the pocket without bowing. Test removal with the packed product in place; a tight pocket can damage the fold or hide the opening edge.
